Running Baccarat Rules

The object of baccarat is to obtain a hand with a point total closest to 9. Aces count as one; 2 through 9 as their face value; tens and face cards count as zero. If the value of the hand is a two-digit number, ignore the first digit. The last digit is the baccarat point value of the hand. For example: 7+6=13=3 and 4+6=10=0

Cards are dealt from a shoe that holds 8 decks of cards. The cards are shuffled when about a third of the cards is left in the shoe.

In Running Baccarat, when the dealer starts the game round, the first betting round is opened. You can place bets to the Player, Banker, and Tie positions. You can also place side bets. Note that Tie and side bets can only be placed in the first betting round. Differently from Player and Banker bets, they remain displayed and effective until the end of the game round.

When the first betting round is closed, the dealer deals a card to the Player position. Depending on the card drawn, the game odds and handicap values for the Player and Banker positions are calculated. You can see the respective values in a table that appears between the Player and Banker areas.

When the second betting round is closed, the dealer deals a card to the Banker position. Based on the cards drawn, the game odds and handicap values for the Player and Banker position are recalculated.

The game proceeds the same way until all necessary cards are dealt. When the game round is finished, possible win amounts are calculated and paid out.

The player closest to 9, wins.

If you bet on the player and the player wins, you are paid even money on your bet.

If you bet on the banker and the banker wins, you are paid even money minus 5% bank commission (vigorish).

If both the player's hand and the banker's hand have equal totals, the game result is a 'tie'. If you have placed a bet on the 'tie' field, your payoff is 8 to 1. Player and Banker bets are returned to you if a tie occurs.
